First episode of Charlie’s Angels – 22nd September 1976


Charlie's Angels starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith debuts on ABC in America and the world is in for a treat. Three beautiful police academy-trained private detectives whose cases always seem to require that they don bikinis, evening gowns or other sexy clothing!!!

Their boss, Charles Townsend, is never seen full-face, but is often seen from the back, mostly in the company of beautiful women. Charlie gives the 'Angels' and his associate John Bosley their assignments via a speakerphone; he never meets them face-to-face, which leads to recurring queries from the 'Angels' as to when or if he will ever join them on assignment.

Which of us 70’s born ladies wanted the Farrah Fawcett look? We know our Sam desperately tried to emulate the hair flick but resulted in hair flop instead!!
