Remember, remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder treason and plot. We see no reason, Why gunpowder treason, Should ever be forgot!
Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night, marks the anniversary of the discovery of a plot organised by conspirators to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London in 1605.
Traditionally celebrated by building a bonfire and setting off fireworks, find a local event and enjoy hot Bovril and hot mushy peas whilst Oooing and Arhing as the night’s sky is lit up in glorious technicolour.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the Nottingham Post’s firework display updates (http://bit.ly/2euNNzy) and producing our own appreciative noises!!!
Remember to keep your pets safe, warm and indoors. Many animals find fireworks scary.
